A shadowy door appears, illuminated in yellow.

CAPITOLA: Look, a door!

MEDIA: What door?

CAPITOLA: Can you not see it, sister?

MEDIA: Capitola, my dear, there is no door aside from the one you came through.

CAPITOLA: (aside) She does not see it. I must make her to see it. (to Media) Sister, have you a key?

MEDIA: Indeed.

MEDIA hands CAPITOLA a ring of keys. CAPITOLA approaches the shadowy door.

CAPITOLA: See, this is the door. And I will use your key to open it.

There is a knock at the other door.

MEDIA: Wait, let us see who that is. (aside) And perhaps they can tell my sister that there is no door. (toward the door) C...
