Memo from Groundskeeper Grandma Scorpion to all counselors at Camp Fairmarsh, July 15, 2003

As a reminder, the annual campout is charged with leaving the north meadow better than they found it. Unfortunately, this rule does not appear to have been followed this year.

I inspected the north meadow this afternoon, after all of the campers had vacated the area. Large patches of grass had been ripped up--this is not the usual small patches near the fire circle, where the campers are known to pick at the ground while listening to ghost stories, but rather in the area where the tents are to have been pitched. The tents themselves are incapable of destroying the vegetation beneath them, so I can only assume that the campers took it upon themselves to clear the ground beneath their tents prior to pitc...
