Alexis Blackwell’s dream journal, June 27, 2003

After going to tell Nurse Harmony about my dreams the other day, I really don’t think I want to record them in this journal. They’ve been weird enough that even she didn’t know what to say at first. I didn’t let her tell me what they meant, but I could see the gears in her head spinning to figure that out, and also how to spin it to convince me that everything was fine. I know my brain is a weird place. I live here, after all. But I don’t think that Nurse Harmony needs to realize the depth of that. I should spare her. If she presses it, I’ll just make some dreams up. That’ll keep her guessing.
