Letter from Brooke Cunningham to her parents, June 24, 2003

Dear Mom and Dad,

One week down, only seven more to go! I can’t believe how quickly this first week has gone already! I almost wish that I had a way to slow down time so that I could savor every minute here. I’ll just have to do it the normal way, and make all sorts of amazing memories to tide me over until next year’s camp!

Chestnut says that we should be ready to start trail rides by the end of this week. What’s more, she’s already asked me if I’d be willing to lead them! She says it’s important that we keep the pace slow, and that while she knows how much I enjoy riding fast, she knows that I’ll make a good ride leader. I’m super excited!
