Dear Mallard,

You know when people say “Wish you were here,” how they don’t always mean it? Well I’m writing to say that I MEAN IT. Completely. I’m so bummed that your parents decided that you can’t come to camp this year just because they’re getting a divorce. It’s completely lame.

The least I can do is keep you up to date on all of the camp gossip. Most of the counselors came back this summer--no Apple, but good riddance to her anyway.
