Shrugging was how Delia brought herself back to the current moment, which she did then so she could forget about him and their trip altogether. This time would be different. This was an adventure she needed, albeit terrifying. After a few years of absolute misery, the past year had been one of peace, growth and adventure, and this was a continuation of that journey. She would spend the weekend disconnecting from the rest of the world; reading, eating, relaxing and exploring the beach. 

Most importantly, she would reconnect with herself, something she had stopped doing a long time ago, something she wished she had never stopped doing.
