Hearing the blood-curdling scream, both store clerks rushed to the restroom. She was still screaming, her eyes were covered, and she was shaking uncontrollably.

“Ma’am, what is it? What’s wrong?”

“There’s, uh, there’s sssssomething or sssssomeone in your… your restroom. I swear I saw something move when I opened the door.”

Mikey pried open the door and found a cat sitting in the left corner of the restroom, eyeing them carefully. He clicked his tongue to draw the cat out, and Delia exhaled as she watched the terrified creature scurry away.

“Thank you,” she said. “I thought it could have been, you know, someone hiding in there, and I just, um, I just got spooked. I’m so sorry.”
