As a child of the seventies, I grew up during an era in which the world still subscribed to the theory of “Survival of the Fittest.” We were taught things such as, when it’s cold outside, it snows. Shocking, cutting edge stuff, I know.

We never sat around the television listening to the local weatherman christen each bluster of weather a name as it passed through the area. We were out in the weather, digging tunnels in snow drifts.
