I longed for the title of this story to be:The first time I set my head on fire and other horrible things that happened to me after my hernia surgery.

But as you can see that is a bit wordy so I shortened it for promotional purposes.

As the result of doing things that lesser men would not attempt, I was reluctantly, nay forcibly scheduled for hernia surgery. Somewhere I had read that a hernia could be healed by duct taping a silver dollar over it. Before I could acquire a silver dollar my doctor explained that this particular technique was not something he had learned in medical school.  My plan was foiled before it ever began.
