19: Iron

"Agency 0 embodies the melding of ingenuity with the sympathetic heart. What started as a project to bring soldiers back from career-ending injuries turned into something I don't think anyone expected. The goal, in the beginning, was to reduce casualties, and not from a preventative perspective. I mean, that kind of work is what institutions like DARPA are for. No, our mission was to reduce the 'churn' if you will—and I hope that's not to callous a term—by bringing wounded soldiers back into the fold. Retaining the experience and the training that goes into making a good soldier. What we got for our efforts: the most effective fighting force any country has ever known."
