Where the hell was Yushin? How could he let this happen? If only I'd known, I would have… I would have done something.

Rena's eyes were closed and her lips moved slightly as if she were talking.

"Rena."

She did not respond.

He tapped lightly on her forehead. "Rena."

Her lips continued to mouth words indecipherable but her body did not stir, nor did her eyes open.

Unsure of what to do in that moment, he decided to check out the apartment. He went into the kitchen first and found it overflowing with dirty dishes, some of which sat on the linoleum floor. He opened her fridge to find a horror show of spoiled food.

"Jesus Christ, Rena…"

Slamming the door shut, he left the kitchen and went in...
