Ray finally arrived at the Capital Station.

He immediately emerged out of the Station, went to the rows of the remote hotel check-in terminals at the Station, and registered himself to the Metro Hotel. After he had his room number, he went to the parking lot to find the hotel’s luggage transports that were parked along with transports from several other hotels—it was the same unmanned vehicle reserved for luggage only. He chose one from the hotel, input his check-in data, and sent his luggage.

After he finished taking care of his stuff, he picked another transport, and headed to the hospital near his old house, Jakarta Health Center.

The street was quiet at night, just as he’d expected. There was a time when the night life was the one thing that illuminated the city after dark....
