The character of this book seems unique to me: the Latin language woven through; the mighty battle for religion and land around the time of Jesus; the use of contemporary vernacular speech; Machiavellian plots; military theme; comic interludes etc… the list goes on. The book is a unique fusion of these themes and styles. My favourite character is Coelestinus, the bent Bishop.
