Saying and actually doing are two very different things though.  It took me a few days to build up my courage to obtain the referral from my doctor and then a couple more to pick up the phone to confirm the appointment which had been made on my behalf.

I wasn't due at the medical facility for another week.  Both mom and dad expressed their wonder at how quickly I'd be seen by this place, however once I revealed to them just how far along I was in this disease, understanding flooded through them.  My brother had made himself scarce, much to my chagrin, for I hoped we might be able to rekindle our sibling love.  And, as much as I hated to admit such, I missed our lively debates.  Alright, alright... arguments.  He'd always been able to keep me on my toes and my min...
