In his guest room, Speckarin awoke after a long slumber and arose ready to face the world. “Today’s the day,” he said aloud, bustling about in green pajamas supplied by his hosts, “when we put our party back together. The barwood sap must be distilled by now. How fortunate Lindor found it in the stream. I hope I get to the healing area before it’s administered.” He donned his long yellow gown, freshly cleaned and pressed by attendants.
