shook his head. “I don’t think it would be a good idea.”

    “I might never get the chance again,” said Runagar.

    Hut recalled his own dreams of flying before they became a reality, and knew how Runagar was feeling. He rescued me, thought Hut. I wouldn’t even be here without him. Why not do something in return? It’s the least I can do. But he doesn’t know a thing about flying.

    “We should talk to Speckarin first,” said Hut.

    “He might say no,” said Runagar, “and I’d never get to fly.”
