Chapter 34

Striding across the cave’s floor, Hut and Lindor were in animated conversation, Hut gazing about, amazed at the immensity and intricacy of the space, paying no attention to amused passersby who stared at his green fairinin pajamas.

    “What will he give me?” asked Lindor.

    “Who?” said Hut, glancing at his small companion, intrigued by the mellow nature of his voice.

    “Your magician. He said it would be something from his bag. I found the silver box and the vial.”

    “Oh, I was asleep when that happened. I have no idea, but if he promised something, it’ll be worth waiting for.” He paused. “Where did you find them? They were mine, at least on the trip...
