Moving to Speckarin’s side, Lidor raised his voice. “The essence will be separated from the injurious dregs of the liquor. But this is hardly an exact science. Mishaps have occurred. And, we won’t know whether the yield will be effective until it is administered.”
Speckarin wasn’t an expert in this area, and these revelations surprised and bothered him.
The noise continued to swell, and Lidor spoke again, his mouth close to Speckarin’s ear. “There is nothing more you can see or do here until the distillation is complete. It will take time, perhaps a day or more, and there’s no way to hurry it. You would better serve your charges and yourself by getting some well-deserved rest.”
