Kat and nodded, a slight smile on his lips. Kat returned it, unable to hide a slight jangle of nerves that she knew projected in her own smile.

No matter how many missions she undertook, no matter how many times she put her life on the line for the greater good, Kat Argo never forgot that the next time-this time- might always be the last.
