He was the tallest boy she'd ever seen. Not lanky, either, but toned and muscular. She knew he was only sixteen but he had the body of a pro basketball player at the tip-top of his career.
What gave away his age was his face, plastered with an expression that Paz could only describe as ridiculously goofy. It was so obvious that he was thinking the words 'she's so pretty' on an endless loop and that the simple act of doing so was taking every ounce of intelligence in his big body. There was also the fact that Barry’s skin was different, very much so, which helped Paz feel even more of an immediate connection. It was a medium purple gray, like clouds during a thunderstorm.
Paz couldn't help herself and giggled, immediately feeling self-conscious and blushing.
