She lowered herself back down into the tomb, and bent to sift through the pile. It didn't take a detective to notice that they were all rather small. In fact, they were children, possibly small women, none of them having been taller than five feet.
And each of the skulls had something else in common.
Fangs, extruded from just above their canine teeth, in the same way Ina's own cut through her gums whenever she felt her peculiar hunger.
These were vampires, all.
Having died with fangs bared meant they had not died of any natural cause. They met their fate either in an attack on others (who?) or...
