The Girl
Series Info | Table of Contents

I am the girl who dwells within,

the shattered pieces of this soul.

Paying tribute to all the horrors

that have gone on down below.

The shadows are ascending,

the time is drawing near,

there is no escaping this sequence,

I was always meant to be here.

Wrapped up in shards of darkness,

sweet release teases the senses,

romanticizing the perilous decline.

I am less than what I wanted,

and more than I deserve.

As my light flickers, fades,

only the shadows know my return.

All or nothing,

black or white,

good or evil,

it doesn’t matter in the end.

I am merely a figment,

of some distant illusion,

wishing to be real again.
