Jerome dragged the greasy man in the magic lined cuffs through the underground halls of the academy that no one but a select few knew about. The young boy, on the other hand, was upstairs in the dean's office waiting for his punishment. Jerome knew he wouldn't be expelled or killed since he gave the dean his word that the victim had forgiven him. He had left out the part about who the actual evil man was and what he was trying to do with Tallia.

As he walked the dark halls he couldn't get his granddaughter off his mind. There was so much power in one young girl. If he didn't know better he would have thought he was a bit jealous.
