Blake's star-covered dress made an appearance before Tallia and she did. The portal shimmered and glowed as they stepped through it and onto the grass before the council's main building. 

"Are you ready for this?" Tallia asked while Blake clutched the books and papers in her arms and tried to control her nerves. She was ready, she's been ready since she came up with the idea but that didn't make her any less nervous. 

Tallia's warm hand was placed on a bare spot on her arm bringing Blake out of her intrusive thoughts. The grass that tickled Blake's bare feet reminded her that she forgot to put on shoes before they left in the portal. That didn't matter, she was grateful to be close to the Earth underneath her.
