Blake's arm began to burn, exactly the same spot Tallia's mark was on her arm. It burned so much that her skin began to redden but she didn't care. Nothing was going to break through what was going on right now. Her best friend, her neighbor, her sister was lying dead in the arms of Penelope while she sobbed and covered her body with salty tears. Alexander had taken to pacing like a madman while he tried to figure something out.

"This is your weakness, Blake. The goddess spoke to you through that statue. You have to pass this test." Alexander was using a harsh tone that she had never heard from him before. It was just enough to snap her out of the harsh reality she was trying to pull away from.
