"Here, let me help," Alexander spoke in a low tone that made Blake's heart hammer in her chest. She watched his dark eyes stare into her's and her body relaxed. Her mind went blank until a memory came forward. She was mad at Tallia, it was the day she played a prank on her when they were younger. It included a carton of milk and a bag of feathers in the backyard. Needless to say, Blake chased her around until she landed on her and pinned Tallia to the ground. 

Alexander pulled the feeling of the memory forward. Blake felt surprised, a bit of anger, and exhilarating energy in the memory. Alexander tried to get her to feel more of this instead of the slight fear at creating fire. Blake's eyes never left Alexander's and while he peered into...
