Blake couldn't sleep, they had nearly been outed and that it scared her to the core. If Jerome wasn't there they would probably be in front of the council right now. She reminded herself that she needed to thank him later. Maybe send him an air message? Her mind swirled with the possibilities of what would have happened if the blackmailer told the dean right there and then. If the note wasn't just a threat but the actual info that they had been keeping secret.

She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to think of something else. Tallia slept peacefully in the bed across from hers.
