Chelsea actually enjoyed herself at work the next day. She was learning the routine, getting to know the people and she felt happier than she had in a while. It was almost easy to forget about her past and her uncertain future. Dylan showed up at the usual time and Chelsea gave him a brilliant smile with his first cup of coffee.

“I sure like it when you smile,” he said.

“Well, maybe I should do it more often then.”

I think I remember saying that before.” He stirred cream and sugar into the hot coffee.

“The usual?”

“The usual.”
