Over the next half an hour, Chelsea met Dylan’s brother Grant and his wife, Susan, Dylan’s eighteen-year old brother Steve, his twenty-year-old sister Tammy. She also met an aunt and uncle, brother and sister of Lydia, Chelsea guessed, their spouses, several children and Travis’ mother Grace. She was certain she would never remember all their names and family connections. She was greatly relieved when she heard Lydia calling everyone to dinner. She looked around for Dylan but couldn’t see him. Lydia came to her rescue and led her into the large dining room, showing her to her seat.

“He’s on the phone, dear,” she said. “He will be here in a minute.”
