Gregory watched the ranch house at a distance until they carried his wife carried inside. He knew where she was, now. All he needed to do was bide his time until she was alone. He doubted that she realized that he had been following her. If she were going to move on from here, it wouldn’t be for a couple of days. From what he could remember, this would have to be her uncle’s place. This was probably her final destination. If that was the case, so much the better. It seemed unlikely that she would go all the way back to Los Angeles. If he were going to kill her, it would have to be quietly, with no witnesses.
