She nodded.

“I don’t know. What do you think? We could put the kids in there.”

“Yeah, you know. You, me, a couple of kids. I thought boys would be fun, but a daughter would be nice, too. There is the other bedroom upstairs, too.”

“Do you need another coffee?” He held up the coffee pot.

“Doesn’t talk of children constitute ‘plans for the future’?”

“Haven’t you ever thought about having some kids?”
