Chelsea moaned and flopped her head back on the sofa. “Oh Dylan, not now. My life is in danger here, and if I know Gregory, yours is too. This is neither the time of the place to be spouting declarations of love.”

Dylan chuckled and glanced around. “It may not be the time, but it certainly is the place.”

“Yeah well, I’ll grant you that.”

Silence again.

Dylan felt a small pang of disappointment at her reaction to his admission of love. She hadn’t admitted that she loved him, too, but he hadn’t really expected her to. He wasn’t even sure why he had told her his feelings for her in the first place. It had just come out.
