Religion for many of us is an ingrained part of our story, our childhoods and sometimes makes it into our daily Adult lives. I like to think that our experience regarding religion during childhood and adolescence determines how religiously based our lives will be as adults. A positive experience making it more likely to want to expose our children and loved ones to our religion and a negative experience usually resulting in a less religious upbringing. I was raised with Pakistani cultural influence. I do not know how to read Arabic and I have never read the entirety of the Quran. I am aware of most of the religious stories and religious milestone and holidays. While I know they exist I have not met many people like myself, raised very moderately Muslim.
