Grandfather

There is a lot I can write about my paternal grandfather. He had an interesting life and was a man with a million stories. I want to share my most vivid memories of him, the Summers he and my grandmother spent with us. I remember bright colored scarves, cologne and McDonalds. Scarves we would be wearing to and from the mosque or to lunch, dinner or tea at the many Pakistani households that invited us over when they were visiting. We would take multiple cars in the summer on outings. It was always a big group of us with a minimum of 4 kids, 6-8 if all the cousins were visiting. It was a dry heat in Reno during the Summer. The high desert assured cool mornings and evenings which was always a relief from the heat of the day.
