In high school, I had been a cheerleader, and an excellent student. I was popular, and always knew how to make others feel at ease. I had learned early on, that the best way to make it in life was to not ever show others that you had a weakness. But I would be lying if I told you I didn’t have any. I’m not sure what people saw when they looked at me, but they felt at ease with me. I could feel it, how comfortable they were around me, it was odd considering that since I can remember, relating to people has always felt like a chore. A lot of work went into smiling every day, laughing at people’s jokes. It wasn’t always like that.
