Dawn huffed at her image in the mirror and tried again. Little sparks danced between her fingers but nothing impressive. The biggest spark she could make went between her finger and thumb. Dawn knew she shouldn’t be pushing so hard since even these bursts took a lot of concentration but she had a sword to protect.
She couldn’t gradually learn the other elements like everyone else did. She had to make her elements come out quickly so she would be better prepared to defend An Tine-lann from her family. Professor Leona wouldn’t spend extra time with her and neither would any of the Elemental Professors because Dawn was further ahead than anyone else.
Dawn couldn’t tell the professors why she needed to learn so quickly. Worse yet, their older friends knew nothing about Lightning....
