I can feel her.

I have her.

She won’t fall.

She won’t!

Something slams into my legs, fingers claw into my calves, dragging me backwards.

“Do you have her?” Kyle is screaming behind me. Suddenly I can hear again.  The last few minutes are all jumbled up in my brain... a crazy rushing sound, like a tornado directly overhead, and a feeling of pressure crushing me down onto the rocks. Everything went black and for a moment I felt like I was falling, lights were swirling all around me, and I thought this is it… but then just as quickly the roaring seemed to be sucked out of my ears and I could feel hands grasping my arms and legs.
