Makes It Rain shooed us all out of her house pretty quickly after she’d finished talking to Luke and Kateri and the three of us found ourselves outside blinking in the sunlight. Two of us seemed to have a half an idea about what was going on.

“So?” I ask hotly, placing my hands on my hips and giving them both the stink eye.

Luke takes a deep breath and then lets it out without saying anything. He is watching Kateri who is looking at me. I do the eyeball ping pong thing for as long as I can without losing my damn mind.

“What did she say?!?” I am definitely speaking louder than might be called for, but I’m super uncomfortable with all this avoidance of the issue.
