By the time I begin the walk back to the village I’m fairly certain that I know what I want to do. I just don’t know if I’ll be able to pull it off.

After Levi stormed off I didn’t see any reason to hurry after him, and I had a lot to think about.

He knows where my mom is. And wherever she is, my dad will be nearby. At least that’s what the optimistic part of my brain is insisting. No sense thinking about what the other part has to offer.
