'So, Robert, you and Harry are to leave us tomorrow?' observed Cecily. 

 'Yes, for a few days.'

 'May we not know where you are going?'

 'Of course! I shall be happy to tell you when we return.' 

 'Secretive!' I thought, in disgust. On impulse, I turned and attacked Harry.

 'I'm sure that my dear new brother will tell us where he is going?'

 Harry looked uncomfortable and it seemed for a moment as though he would say something ill-advised, but Hardley intervened.

 'No, no, m'dear. Harry has promised to say nothing.'

 'But we ladies will worry if we don't know where you are. Besides, how could we get a message to you if some disaster struck?'
