 Now the only problem was, when to deliver the note? As Louisa had warned me, my time would not be my own for some time to come. From tomorrow, I could expect an avalanche of calls. If I tried to go in the afternoon, either Cecily or Louisa or both would wish to accompany me on my 'walk'. That left early in the morning. Which meant that I had to write my reply tonight. Which meant that I would have to go downstairs for writing things once the house was abed. I daren't do it in the morning, for the servants would also be up early.
