With that, the young woman finished her cant and her perception of the world was once again limited to the darkness of the brass helmet and the cold press of ocean against her suit.

            The cloying swell of Anima within her body abated. The excess power stored in her canticle began radiating back into her. This was when one of ‘The Touched’ was at their most effective. Long years of training had taught her to never let her canticle ‘cool’ if she needed to avail on many spells at once. Rather, it was best to allow her power to ‘churn’ in such situations. This would mean her cants would be shorter and the resultant spells more powerful.
