There's a lot to be said for French cuisine, and certainly this will be the first of many that I post here, but you really can't beat the French when it comes to pastries. One of my favorite recipes from France are Profiteroles, or mini-cream puff pastries. They are to die for, and believe me, they will turn heads at any event involving baked goods.

Profiteroles didn't enjoy the limelight the recipe was introduced in France by Caterina de' Medici, wife of Henry II of France, who brought it from Tuscany along with several other recipes.
