Captain’s log, 29 December 2157.

I’ve given the crew a week off so they can feel refreshed in the new year… and also because I have my own unfinished business.

Spaceships zoomed past, followed by the rattatattat of laser guns. Saint aimed his shots liberally, peppering the enemy craft, while dodging and weaving around laser fire himself. “Yes! Whoo!” Saint exclaimed as the last of the enemies exploded. “New best time!”

Renelle folded her arms. “Are you quite done with your game of Galaxia, Mr. Saint?”

Saint turned away from the gaming console. “You have my full attention, Miss Renelle.”

“Great,” Renelle said. “The operation starts in five minutes. Are you ready?”
