As I lay on my deathbed, I have been doing a whole lot of thinking. The sad reality is that thinking is one of the few things I’m still capable of doing. Much of my thoughts have to do with what I would have done differently if I could rewind and play back. Unfortunately there are no second takes. Life is the offical recording, not the demo.

Even though I do feel it is extremely counterproductive to spend time pondering over regrets, I do feel valuable lessons can be discerned from past mistakes. While you are still alive you can hopefully prevent history from repeating itself. Great teachings can also be found in the failings of others. It's too late for me to go back and do things differently, but it isn't too late for you my son to avoid repeating my errors. Poor judgment is not a...
