Much of what I am about to discuss took place before the incident. It could be described as a little bit of light before the darkness. The rest of the story unfolded after the incident. It can be described as the light that helped me escape the darkness.

The story starts at a wedding, which happened on November 26, 2011. It was the wedding for Nico and Lucy. There was a sense of anxiety for not having a new roommate lined up to replace Nico, but I was genuinely happy for them. I also made them an epic mix CD.

Weddings were a mixed bag for me and I went into this kind of dreading it. Up to the last second I was tempted to try to come up with some excuse to bail. I was feeling pretty drained at the time. I hate to admit it, but there was a selfish part of me which was feeling miserab...
