Angela and Carl pulled over to the side of the road. Carl had been driving, but for the final leg of their journey it was going to be Angela in the driver’s seat. They got out of the car and opened the trunk. Angela started prepping equipment and handed Carl the camera.
“Any last minute questions on how to use the handheld steadicam?”
“Ang, I got it. Don’t worry.” Carl took the Carl and tried to give Angela a reassuring squeeze.
“I know, I know. I’m just nervous I guess.”
“Totally understandable. Take your time. We can get back in the car whenever you’re ready.”
There really was no rush. The phase ‘middle of nowhere’ was invented to describe a highway just like this. As far as the eye could see...
