“I showed it to her today for the first time. I dreamed about them last night and I realized that if Sarah hadn’t married Thomas, your ancestor would never have been born and neither would you.” She paused to allow it to soak in.

“I’m blown away. I have a million questions I want to ask, but first, do you want to put the ring on?” He said, pulling the box out of his pocket.

“Yes, I do,” Allie said.

David took the ring out of the box and put it on her finger. “Do you like it?”

The ring was a beautiful emerald cut diamond in an antique setting, with little rubies all around it. “I love it! It’s perfect.”

Just then the back door of the main house opened...
