Allie was in Thomas and Sarah’s home, watching Sarah rock a tiny baby girl. As she watched, Thomas came in with a little girl of about four and a sturdy looking little boy of around two. He knelt in front of Sarah’s chair and kissed both her and baby, then he picked up the small boy and handed him to her. “If not for you and your courage, he would not be here, nor the new little one. We owe you much, Allie.”

Allie looked down into the little boys eyes, he was smiling up at her and he gently brushed her cheek with his hand. This was David’s direct ancestor, if he had never been born, neither would David. She tousled his coal black hair and gently tweaked his nose, causing his to giggle delightfully.
