Katie paced beside the hospital bed. The doctor had been in this morning and said that the bacteria had been beaten and physically Allie was much better, but for some reason she seemed to not want to wake up. Katie had been there the whole time, sleeping in the chair in her room. She had cried, cussed and begged for Allie to wake up. She didn’t know what else to do. She had asked about bringing TJ to visit and the doctor said he was giving Allie twenty-four hours and then he would approve the visit. That scared Katie more than anything else the man had said. For a doctor to agree to let a dog come visit, the situation must be desperate.
